Le reflex che non hanno un battery grip integrato sono leggere, ma un po’ scomode se si deve scattare a lungo in posizione verticale.
Il Canon BG-E6 è stato realizzato appositamente per la nuova Canon 5D mark II.
Per inserirlo è sufficiente infilarlo al posto della batteria e avvitarlo nel filetto del treppiedi.
Filetto che si può trovare anche sotto al BG-E6 consentendo l’uso in abbianamento con il treppiedi.
Al suo interno si possono inserire due batterie Canon LP-E6, oppure 6 stilo AA, da usare più che altro in caso di necessità.
Le normali batterie stilo non dispongono di un chip all’interno e quindi usandole non sarà possibile avere informazioni dettagliate sullo stato di carica.
